This is a course syllabus for a class presenting three views on the extraordinary miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The goal includes showing how Cessation, Continuation, and Caution each seeks to base their best arguments in Scripture. Each seek to be faithful to the Bible, take it seriously, and live it out. Each affirms to the sufficiency of Scripture and the sovereignty of God. Each believes God works today. Each agrees on the one, true Gospel. Together they stand against any combining of biblical teaching with Spiritualism, Spiritism, Prosperity Theology, or Experiential Pragmatism.

The goal also incudes showing how the three positions disagree in their views on the extraordinarily miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit. There are real disagreements, that do make a difference.

    Some additional points on hospitality:
    1. Hospitality is required for elders (1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:8) and for widows (1 Timothy 5:10) because in these roles they are to show care to strangers inside and outside the church, but is not required for deacons since in this roles they are focused on caring for the members of their local church.
    2. Hospitality is commanded for all believers (Romans 12:9-13; Hebrews 13:1-2; 1 Peter 4:8-9; 3 John 1:5-8).
    3. Hospitality has a stated purpose (Exodus 22:21; 23:9; Leviticus 19:33-34; Deuteronomy 10:19).
    4. Hospitality is to be taken seriously (Ezekiel 22:1-16, 29: Psalm 94; Jeremiah 7:5-7; 22:8-14).
    5. Hospitality exemplified (Job 31:32; Genesis 18:1-8; 19:1-11; Luke 10:25-37).
