The New Holocaust

Pop quiz: What infamous racist once said, “We are failing to segregate morons who are increasing and multiplying . . . a dead weight of human waste . . . an ever-increasing spawning class of human beings who never should have been born at all.” Did you say Adolf Hitler? If so, you are incorrect.  The correct answer is…Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Few know the racially-motivated origins of the organization, but everyone should be aware of the ongoing atrocities that take place within the walls of their facilities. This is an organization that performs nearly 1000 abortions every day in the United States, and 45% of their funding comes from our tax dollars. And our president, the most abortion-friendly in our nation’s history, has nothing but glowing words to say about them.

What are we going to do about this? Proverbs 24 tells us what to do: “Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, ‘Behold, we did not know this,’ does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?” Who in our society today is “stumbling to the slaughter”? The unborn. Will we act as though we didn’t know it?

On October 17, we have a chance to put our money where our mouth is. Living Alternatives is hosting its annual fundraising banquet, and you are invited! My goal is for our church people to be responsible for filling 5 tables of 10 people apiece. What role will you play?

  • Be a TABLE SPONSOR. You can give as little as $250 to sponsor a table, which will entitle you to attend the VIP reception with the speaker, Kirk Walden, and you will be listed in the program. If you’re willing to sponsor a table, we need to know this by Monday, September 10.
  • Be a TABLE HOST. As a host, you can invite others to fill your table of 10. These ideally are people who have a heart for the unborn and are able to give financially to support Living Alternatives (monthly, or as a one-time gift). If you are sponsoring a table, you are entitled to be the host as well, but you can be a host without being a sponsor. If you are willing to host a table, we need to know this by Monday, September 24.
  • Be an ATTENDEE. Even if you do not sponsor or host a table, you can still attend! Please come prepared to give financially in whatever capacity you are able (monthly, or as a one-time gift). If you wish to attend, we need to know this by Monday, September 24.

If you have questions about this or want to inform me of your intent to participate, please email me at If you or your teen are interested in assisting with childcare on this evening (potentially at church), please let me know as well. And if you would like to support Living Alternatives but cannot attend on 10/17, I can give you some direction.

We can be confident that God is pleased with our desire to obey His Word by seeking to protect the weak and marginalized. May God bless your sacrificial giving!
